Beer is produced by saccharification of starch and fermentation of the resulting sugar. The starch and saccharification enzymes are often derived from malted cereal grains, most commonly malted barley and malted wheat. Most beer is flavored with hops, which adds bitterness and act as a natural preservative. The brewing process causes a natural carbonation effect, although forced carbonation is also used.
Mineral water from Ramlösa bottles contains mineral water that has been traveling for 70 years. You can think of the next time you have one in your hand. Drop by drop, the water has migrated down from the ground to the source of 90 meters deep. On the way it is cleansed through layers of sandstone, clay, coal and sand. Nothing is added or removed from a natural mineral water, only carbonic acid. In flavored water only aromas are added.
